Within each of us flows an unseen energy known as yyin.

yyin. a bilingual English-Chinese art publication, captures and explores the enigmatic narratives of yyin, and brings together the creative talents of the LGBTQ+ community and its advocates to develop experimental graphic artworks that express society’s gender diversity and provide a global platform for such stories to be heard.

Originating from Taiwan, the first Asian country to legalize same-sex marriage, our team is inspired by traditional Eastern yin-yang philosophy. Founder, Yagi Wang, titled the publication yyin. reflecting upon the intrinsic and dynamic relationship yin shares with our emotions. By embracing the yin attributes inherent in us all, we can find balance and harmony across the gender spectrum. 

yyin. volume 1 features 23 contributors, including emerging artists, influencers, and photographers. Focused on the theme of yin, it contains eight exceptional stories that transcend the conventional boundaries of Eastern philosophy.

yyin. 收錄獨特且迷人的陰性敘事，主題圍繞當代尚未被充分挖掘及探索的性別議題，採中英雙語出版，並邀請LGBTQ+社群及關注相關議題的創作者們，與平面設計師合作，展開實驗性的視覺藝術創作。

計畫團隊來自台灣，發起人 Yagi 相信，陰性是存在於每個人內在的流動能量，並與情感緊密相連，藉由反思個人身上具備的陰性特質，能幫助自身在多元性別的光譜中，取得身心的平衡及和諧。

23位創作者及平面設計師參與第一期，背景多元，包含視覺及食物藝術家、表演藝術創作者、自媒體創作者、攝影師。首期以「陰性」為主題，講述8則超越傳統東方哲學的陰性敘事。
